The Career Center reviews portfolios from students and alumni of Columbia College Chicago on a weekly basis. These reviews engage faculty and staff experts and professional reviewers from the creative communities. 

These reviews provide a platform where students and alumni may receive constructive, unbiased feedback with insights about how their work and its presentation are perceived, and may provide recommendations going forward. 

Before submitting, please: 

  • Review portfolio resources and guidelines on the Career Center website and blog for tips on portfolio best practices.
  • Consider meeting with a portfolio development advisor in the Career Center. Appointments may be scheduled in Handshake:

Supervisors may nominate student employees whom they feel warrant particular recognition for their performance on the job. The Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Recognition Program begins at the institutional level and moves on to the regional and in some cases, national recognition.

Please complete and submit the online nomination form. Nominations will be judged on the following characteristics: reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism, and the uniqueness of the student's contribution to the employer.

Eligibility Requirements: Any eligible undergraduate or graduate student employees who have been employed for a minimum of six months between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019 (anticipated).
